Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Solubility H2O: > 1 g/L; EtOH: > 1 g/L; acetone: unknown; CH3CN: unknown; DMSO: unknown
Expiry date 25. Oct. 2018
Storage Room Temperature (20 ± 5 °C)
Key result
Remarks on result:
no self ignition observed under the test conditions
Conclusions:
The test item Ammonium Benzoate should be considered as showing no self-ignition up to the melting point of 198 °C under the test conditions.
Executive summary:

The auto-flammability behaviour was determined by placing the test item into a stainless steel cube and heating from room temperature to an oven temperature of205 °Cwith the ZPA-3 oven.

No increase in the temperature of the sample in comparison to that of the oven could be detected, also no signs of ignition could be observed.

Therefore, the test item Ammonium Benzoate should be considered as showing no self-ignition up to the melting point of 198 °C under the test conditions.
