Description of key information

A hydrolysis study shows that tert-butylperoxyisopropylcarbonate does hydrolyze, but not fast enough to take into account hydrolysis products. Half-lives at pH 4, 7 and 9 are 10d, 9d and 45h at 25 °C, respectively.

A ready biodegradability test is also available. The conclusion from that study is that the substance is classified as readily biodegradable.

The log Kow of 2.5 would indicate that bioaccumulation is not expected and could therefore be waived.

Adsorption potential is also waived due to the low log Kow.
