Description of key information
The logarithmic partition coefficient of 2-[(2-nitrophenyl)amino]ethanol was determined to be 1.50 using the shake flask method at 20°C.

The partition coefficient of 2-[(2-nitrophenyl)amino]ethanol was calculated based on the results of the analytical determination following OECD guideline 107, EU Method A8 and the GLP.
The test item content was determined by HPLC. The log Pow was calculated for each run.
The difference between the three different test variants at each pH value was less than the given ± 0.3 log units. Therefore, the study can be considered to be valid.
According to this study the logarithmic partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of 2-[(2-nitrophenyl)amino]ethanol was determined to be 1.50 using the shake flask method at 20 °C.
This partition coefficient test is classified as acceptable, and satisfies the guideline requirements for the OECD 107 and the EU method A8.
