Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2010-10-13 to 2010-10-15
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Test was performed with a dried residue of a concentrated solution. The substance (Nickel bis (dihydrogen phosphate) is stable in solution only.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.17 (Oxidising Properties (Solids))
GLP compliance:
not specified
Specific details on test material used for the study:
- Name of test material (as cited in study report): Nickel bis (dihydrogen phosphate),
- Substance type: dry residue of a concentrated solution
- Physical state: solid
- Sample preparation: The sample was delivered as concentrated solution (about 40 %). In order to analyse the characteristics of a dried solution which was the purpose of this analysis) the sample was dried with a rotary drying unit under vacuum (50 mbar). During the drying process the liquid solution was turned to a dry salt. The distilled water contained no acidity. The dry residue was crushed with a rotary knife mill to a powder and the complete sample was sieved with a mesh size of 250 µm (recovery 100 %). The crushed material was then dried in a drying chamber a 105 °C (weight loss 15.6 %, residual moisture content 1.3 %).

Description of key information

The oxidising properties (solids) of Nickel bis (dihydrogen phosphate), EINECS 242-522-3 (dry residue of a concentrated solution) was determined according to the test method A. 17. as described in the Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008.

According to the definition in the Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, method A.17. Nickel bis (dihydrogen phosphate), EINECS 242 -522 -3 (dry residue of a concentrated solution) has no oxidising properties.
