Any other information on results incl. tables

A dose of 2000 mg/kg was tolerated by females without mortalities, toxicological effects on weight gain and gross pathological findings.

The clinical signs were decreased motility, uncoordinated gait, narrowed palpebral fissure, closed eyelids, abdominal position, labored breathing, pallor, poor reflexes and decreased reactivity.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Executive summary:

The acute oral toxicity to female Wistar rats of 4 -Phenyl-3 -morpholinon was assessed. The test compound was formulated in tap water with the aid of 2% Cremophor EL, the administration volume was 10 ml/kg body weight.

According to the OECD guideline 423 the LD50 cut-off of 4 -Phenyl-3 -morpholinon in female rats is 5000 mg/kg (Category 5 of the GHS System).
