Fish were exposed to the test item under static conditions for 96 hours to a range of concentration (10, 31.6, 100 mg/L). Mortality of fish was recorded at 24-hour intervals. Additionally any visible effects on appearance and behaviour of fish was reported every 24 hours. During the test a temperature range of 21.9 - 23.3 °C and a pH range of 7.1 - 8.4 was maintained in the test vessels. Auxiliaries used to prepare the test media were an ultrasonic bath and a magnetic stirrer. No specific analysis was performed. After 96 hours of exposure an LC0 value of 10 mg/L and after 24 hours an LC100 a value of 100 mg/L could be determined. A geometric mean of LC0/LC100 was calculated to be 31.6 mg/L. The results are expressed in terms of nominal concentrations. This toxicity study is classified as acceptable and satisfies the guideline requirements for the acute fish study.
