Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
flash point of flammable liquids
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the flash point is only relevant to liquids and low melting point solids
Justification for type of information:
A guideline study was conducted to determine the flashpoint of 50% aqueous solution of the test substance. In the study of Schuurman (1996), the flashpoint of 50% aqueous solution of the test substance was determined to be 105°C (closed cup method).
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information

Description of key information

No study was conducted for the pure form of the test substance. However, the flash point was determined for the 50% aqueous solution form of the test substance using the close cup method according to EU Method A.9 (Schuurman P, 1996).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
105 °C

Additional information

(for 50% aqueous solution)
