Results and discussion

Water solubility
Water solubility:
2.3 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
ca. 2.1
Details on results:
The detector calibration was found to be linear over the range 0 to 100 mg/l of standard solutions in mobile phase with a regression coefficient of 1.0000. The water solubility of Crude 1,3-dichloropropene was 2.26 ± 0.14 g/l. A mean recovery of approximately 85% of Crude 1,3-dichloropropene from fortified control samples was achieved and deemed to be acceptable.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)
Crude 1,3-dichloropropene was found to be slightly soluble in water at 2.26 ± 0.14 g/l at 20 degrees C.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of Crude 1,3 -Dichloropropene was determined according to EEC Method A6 and O.E.C.D. Testing Guideline 105 with HPLC detection and GLP compliance. Crude 1,3-dichloropropene was found to be slightly soluble in water at 2.26 ± 0.14 g/l at 20 degrees C.
