Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No data on the biodegradation of the test item in surface water and sediment are available.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No data on the biodegradation of the test item in surface water and sediment are available; however, further biotic degradation testing shall be proposed if the chemical safety assessment according to Annex I indicates the need to investigate further degradation of the substance and its degradation products. In addition Annex XI indicate that the standard testing regime can be adapted if testing does not appear scientifically necessary. The test substance was found to be biodegradable (60 - 70% degradation after 28 days and 70 – 80 % degradation after 35 days) in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 301A. Based on these results it can be concluded that the test substance is not persistent in the environment. Therefore, simulation studies in surface water and sediment are not performed.
