Additional information

One reliable study is available for the substance. The toxicity to aquatic algae was determined according to OECD TG No. 201 and OECD Guidance document No. 23 on aquatic toxicity testing of difficult substances and mixtures, under GLP. Algae cultures (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) were exposed to Water Accommodated Fractions (WAFs) of the substance at loading rates of 0.3, 0.6, 1.3, 2.5, 5.0 and 10 mg/L over a test period of 72 hours (static test, closed conditions). Quantifications to provide an indication of the stability of the WAFs with and without algae were performed daily by adding all the chromatographic peak areas to obtain an overall test item concentration.

Based on the nominal loading rates and under the experimental conditions, the 72h-EC50 for growth rate was determined to be 4.779 mg/L and the 72h-EC10 2.951 mg/L.
