Additional information

According to the databank PTB-AG 3.43 (2009), MITC (methyl isothiocyanate) flash point is the range 303.15-305.15K (closed cup), i.e. 30°C-32°C. Same study was conducted by MLPC (Hundington Lab), on two replicates according to a GLP method was made- EEC method A9. The duplicate determined flash points of MITC were 28°C and 30°C. For safety assessment purposes, the lower of the two values will be reported as the flash point (i.e. 28°C).
