The log Kow reported in the OECD SIDS is 2.42 (CITI, 1992) and the calculated log Kow is 2.58

We have not obtained the CITI (1992) review article so are unable to assess its reliability. However, it was used as the key study in the OECD SIDS for isoprene (2005). The value reported here is very similar to the value of 2.58 predicted by the use of a QSAR (Maylan and Howard 1995) and so taken together as a weight of evidence suggests that isoprene will not bioaccumulate ( log Kow of = 4.5).
