Study report is available for the adsorption/desorption test and read-across is used for the ready biodegradability test. The results are summarized as below:

The HPLC method using soil-adsorption-reference data was applied for the determination of the adsorption coefficient (Koc) of Pigment Blue 61 under GLP compliance and used as the key study. In the chromatogram of the test solution, two peaks were observed. The first peak eluted before formamide. The second peak was a very broad peak. The logKoc values were < 1.26, < 1.26, 4.87 for peak 1, peak 2 at the start and peak 2 at the end, respectively.

The ready biodegradability test was performed according to OECD guideline No. 301B under GLP compliance with Pigment Blue 56. The degradation result was 15.9 -22.7 % after 28 days based on the CO2 evolution. Pigment Blue 61 is expected to have similar property, thus, Pigment Blue 61 is not ready biodegradable.
