First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
General information Remove affected person from source of contamination. Move affected person to fresh air and keep warm and at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air and keep patient at rest. If necessary obtain medical advice.
Ingestion: Allow the patient to vomit on his own accord. Give copious amounts of water to drink and seek medical advice.
Skin contact: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Get medical attention promptly if symptoms occur after washing.
Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water. Remove any contact lenses and open eyelids wide apart. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention promptly if symptoms occur after washing.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media: Use fine water spray.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Hazardous combustion products: Thermal decomposition or combustion may liberate oxides of carbon and nitrogen.
Advice for firefighters
Protective actions during firefighting: Control run-off water by containing and keeping it out of sewers and watercourses.
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Wear self contained breathing apparatus and fire kit.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Personal precautions Wear protective clothing as described in the section "Exposure Controls/personal protection" below.
Environmental precautions
Environmental precautions: Do not discharge into drains or watercourses or onto the ground.
Methods and material for containment and deaning up
Methods for cleaning up: Wear suitable protective equipment, including gloves, goggles/face shield, respirator, boots, clothing or apron, as appropriate. Sweep up into tightly closable containers. Label container and dispose of as hazardous waste.
Reference to other sections
Reference to other sections For personal protection, see the section "Exposure Controls/personal protection". For waste disposal, see the section "Disposal considerations" below.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Usage precautions Handle in acordance with good hygiene and safety practices. Keep dust formation to a minimum.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Storage precautions Store in a tightly closed container in a cool and well ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Control parameters
Ingredient comments No occupational exposure limit has been set for this substance.
Exposure controls
Appropriate engineering controls: Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls as the primary means to minimise worker exposure. Personal protective equipment should only be used if worker exposure cannot be controlled adequately by the engineering control measures.
Personal protection: Avoid inhalation, ingestion and contact with skin, eye and clothing.
Eye/face protection: Use approved safety goggles or glasses. Use equipment for eye protection tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or EN 166(EU).
Hand protection: Handle with gloves. Gloves must be inspected prior to use. Use proper glove removal technique (without touching glove's outer surface) to avoid skin contact with this product. Dispose of contaminated gloves after use in accordance with applicable laws and good laboratory practices. Wash and dry hands. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it.
Other skin and body protection: Protective overalls.
Hygiene measures: General industrial hygiene practice. Wash hands and face before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Keep working clothes separately.
Respiratory protection: Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU).
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity
Reactivity: There are no known reactivity hazards associated with this product.
Chemical stability
Stability: Stable under the prescribed storage conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions
Possibility of hazardous reactions: Not determined.
Conditions to avoid
Conditions to avoid Avoid excessive heat for prolonged periods of time.
Incompatible materials
Materials to avoid Strong oxidising agents.
Hazardous decomposition products
Hazardous decomposition products: Thermal decomposition or combustion may liberate oxides of carbon and nitrogen.
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods
General information: Waste is classified as hazardous waste. Disposal to licensed waste disposal site in accordance with national and local authority regulations.
