Type of method:
method to determine freezing temperature
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
< -20 °C

Pre-test: At room temperature yellow liquid, at 3.4 °C liquid, at -22.1 °C high viscous liquid and slightly turbid but not solid, at -80 °C solid and complete turbid, yellow ice. After thawing, the test item returned to original state.

Conclusions:
In a pre-test, the test item VOELOFA Monomer was still liquid at –20 °C.
Executive summary:

The melting / freezing point temperature of VOELOFA Monomer (100% purity) was determined in accordance with OECD test guideline 102. The results from a pre-test revealed, that the test item VOELOFA Monomer was still liquid at –20 °C.

According to REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 Annex VII, column 2 of section 7.2, the determination of the melting / freezing point does not need to be conducted below a lower limit of -20 °C. Therefore, no main test was conducted and the melting / freezing point can be considered to be < -20 °C.

Description of key information
