Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Appearance
The test item was observed to be a clear viscous liquid
Pour point
The test substance was determined to stop flowing at -21.08 °C (OECD 102).
Boiling point
The boiling point of the test substance was determined to be 240.3 ± 0.75 °C(513.5 K) (OECD 103).
Relative density
Relative density of the test item was determined to be 1.1213± 0.0001 at 20 °C (OECD 109).
Granulometry
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is marketed or used in a non-solid or granular form.
Vapour pressure
The vapour pressure of the test item was determined to be 7.24 x 10E-02 Pa at 25 °C (298 K), 6.55 Pa at 83 °C (356 K) and 24.3 Pa at 140 °C (413 K) (OECD 104 and EU Method A.4).
Partition coefficient
The test substance eluted as three peaks using the HPLC method and the mean offset adjusted Log Pow for the test substance by UV ranged from unretained (< -1.02) to 4.65 (OECD 117, EU Method A.8 and OPPTS 830.7570).
Water solubility
Test item solubility was determined by ICP-MS to be 3.19 mg/mL (3.19 g/L) at 20 °C and pH 2.06 to 2.08 (OECD 105).
Surface tension
The true surface tension of the test item was determined to be 39.8±0.6 dynes/cm (equivalent to 39.8±0.6 mN/m) (OECD 115).
Flash point
The flash point of the test item was determined to be 95.1 ± 1.0 °C using the Pensky-Martens closed cup method (EU Method A.9).
Auto-ignition temperature
The auto-ignition temperature of the test item was determined to be 272 °C (EU Method A.15).
Flammability
The test item is a liquid and, in line with ECHA Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance (Version 6.0; July 2017), relevant properties for classification of the substance as flammable are the determined flash point and boiling point. Further experimental investigation of flammability is therefore not required.
Explosive properties
The test item was determined to be non-explosive because negative results were obtained with the BAM Fallhammer and Koenen Tube tests (EU Method A.14).
Oxidising properties
The liquid test item was determined non-oxidising liquid because the mean pressure rise time was greater than that observed for the nitric acid reference sample (EU Method A.21).
pH
The pH of aqueous 1% (w/w) solutions of the test substance were determined to be 2.62 ± 0.186 at an average recorded temperature of 24.7 ± 0.06 °C (OECD 122).Additional information
