Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
25 November 2012 to 5 April 2013
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Remarks:
The analytical method used is the determination of the total organic carbon (TOC), which is forseen for the determination of solution of polymers in water (EU Method A.20) but not listed among the "preferred method" for the datermination of the water solubility, due to their incapacity to differentiate between the main substance and the impurities. The results can be therefore considered as reliable with restrictions
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
1995
GLP compliance:
no
Other quality assurance:
ISO/IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories)
Type of method:
flask method

Conclusion

The water solubility of the test substance was determined by TOC (total organic carbon) after six days to be 37.41 mg/L at 20 °C and pH ca. 5.4.

Conclusions:
A water solubility value of 37.41 mg/L (at 20 °C, pH ca. 5.4) was determined for the test substance according to OECD guideline 105.

Description of key information

Water solubility: 37.41 mg/L at 20 °C, pH = 5.4 (OECD guideline 105, flask method)
