Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Read-across from similar structures. No data is available for phenol, ethoxylated, esters with acrylic acid (M142).

2 -phenoxy acrylate was found to be at least inherently biodegradable.

Due to structural and physico-chemical similarity to 2 -phenoxy acrylate, phenol, ethoxylated, esters with acrylic acid was concluded to be inherently biodegradable as well.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
inherently biodegradable, fulfilling specific criteria

Additional information

The pass-criteria for readily biodegradability test was not full-filled in the readily biodegradability test. However, read-across to other substances with similar structures and EpiSuite calculations strongly supports that the substance should at least be inherently biodegradable, fulfilling specific criteria.
