Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
water solubility
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is hydrolytically unstable at pH 4, 7 and 9 (half-life less than 12 hours)
Justification for type of information:
Due to the rapid hydrolysis of the test item the water solubility was estimated using EPISuite WSKowwin v1.43. The water solubility was calculated to be 318.6 mg/L this value was considered to represent a conservative estimate and suitable for use in the risk assessment.

Description of key information

Due to the rapid hydrolysis of the test item determination of water solubility was not scientifically feasible by the methods presented in Method A6 Water Solubility of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 105 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995, based on observations during method development which indicated hydrolysis of the test item in less than 5 minutes. Due to the rapid hydrolysis of the test item the water solubility was estimated using EPISuite WSKowwin v1.43. The water solubility was calculated to be 318.6 mg/L this value was considered to represent a conservative estimate and suitable for use in the risk assessment.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
