Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In accordance with REACH Regulation 1907/2006, Annex X, Column 2, studies of the effects on sediment organisms need not be conducted if exposure assessment does not indicate a concern for exposure to that environmental compartment. The substance is readily biodegradable indicating that it will not remain in the environment. Modelling indicates that the substance will be mobile in water with negligible adsorption to sediment. It can be assumed that the outcome of tests through exposure to sediment pore water will not differ significantly from that arising through exposure in the overlaying water and, as a result, hazards resulting from uptake of sediment can be excluded. Waiving of the test requirements therefore appears justified.
