None
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
HPLC method
Partition coefficient type:
octanol-water
Type:

Partition coefficient:

Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: no pH determined
Details on results:
According to this preliminary test the solubility of the test item in n-octanol is below 24.9 mg/l (without correction of the purity). With the data obtained from the experiments in chapter 3.5.1 (cs < 24.9 mg/l) and in the preliminary test (water solubility: cs = 208 to 1040 g/l) the partition coefficient was calculated as log Pow in the range of -3.9 to -4.6.
Due to the fact, that the log Pow is below -2, the partition coefficient n-octanol/water has to be estimated from the individual solubility in water and n-octanol.

By means of the flask method, the saturation concentration of the test item in n-octanol was determined to: < 0.243 mg/l.
By means of the flask method, the saturation concentration of the test item in water was determined to: 443 g/l
Conclusions:
The partition coefficient n-octanol/water of the test item at 20 °C, from the individual solubility in water and n-octanol, was determined to be (log Pow) <- 6.29
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient n-octanol/water of FAT 40210/F was determined according to OECD Guideline 117 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol / water), HPLC Method). The partition coefficient at 20 °C, from the individual solubility in water and n-octanol, was determined to be (log Pow) <- 6.29.

Description of key information

Additional information

The partition coefficient n-octanol/water of FAT 40210/F was determined according to OECD Guideline 117 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol / water), HPLC Method). The partition coefficient at 20 °C, from the individual solubilities in water and n-octanol, was determined to be (log Pow) <- 6.29.
