Description of key information

Disperse Red 302 was tested for aquatic toxicity across all three trophic levels, i.e. fish, Daphnia and Lemna and found to have low toxicity. Disperse Red 302 when tested with trouts and Red Killi, was found to have low toxicity with LC50 >1000 mg/l. The EC50 of Disperse Red 302 to Daphnia magna was determined to be >100 mg/l in a study conducted according to OECD Guideline 202. The influence of FAT 93503/B on the growth of the freshwater plantLemna gibba was assessed in a static dose-response test. The 7-day EC50 and the 7-day EC10 for the parameters growth rate and yield of the endpoints frond number and dry weight could not be calculated due to the low effects of the test item. Therefore, the 7-day EC50 and the 7-day EC10 was determined to be higher than the limit of water solubility of the test item, represented by the filtrate of nominal 100 mg test item/L, the highest concentration tested. The 3h IC20 and IC50for FAT 93503/A was found to be >100 mg/l, in a bacteria toxicity test done according to the OECD Guideline 209 (Activated Sludge, Respiration Inhibition Test).
