Results and discussion

Using a linear heating rate of about 10 K/min, AGEE 623 Glutaminate started to melt at about 169°C and started to decompose or react at about 280°C in the preliminary test. Due to this results found , the melting point/ melting range was determined by duplicate testing, started at about 167°C.
Two clear stages were observed in this main tests. The melting process started at approximately 168.4°C (Stage B) and ended at 168.9°C (Stage E). During the melting process AGEE 623 Glutaminate changed from a white solid to a yellow-brown liquid. The test substance solidified after cooling down, but the colour remained yellow-brown.

- The melting point of AGEE 623 Glutaminate was determined to be 169°C/ 442 K.
