Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation:
If inhaled, remove person to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If breathing becomes difficult give oxygen. If breathing stops, give artificial respiration.
Release of tight clothing such as belts, corsets and ties. Provide warmth and peace. Call a Poison Center or a physician.
Ingestion:
Call a Poison Center or a physician. Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Eye contact:
In case of contact with eyes, immediately rinse continuously with water for several minutes (for at least 20 minutes), keeping eyelids open.
Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do – continue rinsing. Do not allow water to flow to the healthy eye. Call a Poison Center or a physician.
Skin contact:
In case of skin contact, immediately wash with soap and plenty of water at least 20 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Call a Poison Center or a physician.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: water spray, carbon dioxide fire extinguisher, powder extinguisher or foam fire extinguisher.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: none
Special hazards arising from the substance: the substance is not classified as flammable, but it is combustible.
Hot containers may burn. Substances dust can accumulate in low or confined areas.
During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases or vapors (nitrogen oxides, HBr, CO2 and CO) may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.
Accidental release measures
For non-emergency personnel:
As soon as possible leave the exposure area and use available personal protective equipment.
Do not walk through spilled substance.
For emergency responders:
In case of accident or high concentrations in the working area wear self-contained breathing apparatus with a face mask and protective clothing.
Isolate unauthorized and unnecessary personal.
Avoid raising dust. Ensure ventilation of the work area.
Environmental precautions: prevent substances from falling into financial drains, waterways and soil. Stop leak if safe to do so.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Sweep up with a moist absorbent in tightly sealed containers. Remove to a hazardous waste container in a dedicated location.
Contaminated areas must be treated with detergents and rinsed with a large amount of water, flushed into sewage.
Report all incidents to the immediate manager and act according to his instructions.
For cleaning up use appropriate protective equipment!
Dispose of all clean-up and collected materials in accordance with applicable local, state and federal waste disposal regulations.

The substance cause long-term (chronic) aquatic hazard – harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
Exposure controls / personal protection
Appropriate engineering controls: a system of local and/or general exhaust is recommended.
Maintain eye wash, shower or quick-drench facilities in work area.
Respiratory protection: follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29 CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149, full face mask – EN 136, half mask – EN 140.
WARNING: Air-purifying respirators do not protect workers in oxygen-deficient atmospheres.
Eye/face protection: use chemical safety goggles with side-shields and/or a full face shield.
Use equipment for eye protection tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or EN 166(EU).
Hand protection: handle with gloves. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of the European Parliament and of the Council and EN ISO 374 standard.
Body protection: wear impervious protective clothing, including boots, gloves, oversleeves, disposable protective overalls, coveralls and apron as appropriate, to prevent skin contact.
Environmental exposure controls: prevent the substance from falling into drains, waterways and soil. Stop leaks if safe to do so.
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: the substance is stable under recommended storage conditions.
Conditions to avoid: keep away from heat sources, direct sunlight, moisture and incompatible substances. Avoid static electricity and dust accumulation.
