Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied

Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

Results

The structure contains oxygen but it is not bonded to nitrogen or oxygen.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Based on the chemical structure of the test item the result for the oxidizing properties has been predicted negative.
Executive summary:

The prediction was carried out using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A.21 Oxidising Properties (Liquids) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

Performance of the Prediction

The structure is assessed for the content of oxygen and/or halogen atoms, if these elements are present, further assessment is carried out to establish if these elements are chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen.

Evaluation of Data

If the structure does not contain oxygen or halogen atoms, or these elements are present but are not chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen, the oxidizing properties can be predicted negative.

Conclusion

Based on the chemical structure of the test item the result for the oxidizing properties has been predicted negative.
