Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Parameter:
kinematic viscosity (in mm²/s)
Value:
1.07

As the test item was a solid at 20 °C, the melting temperature being 22 °C, testing was conducted at 40 °C only.

Conclusions:
The kinematic viscosity was determined to be 1.07 mm2/s at 40.0 ± 0.5 °C.
Executive summary:

The kinematic viscosity of the test substance was determined under GLP and in accordance with OECD TG 114. As the substance was a solid at 20 °C, the melting temperature being 22 °C, the study was conducted at 40 °C only. The viscosity was determined by measuring the time of flow for the test item through a capillary of known dimensions. The U-tube viscometer was cleaned with Nochromix® (a chromic acid substitute), rinsed with water and then acetone, before drying. The kinematic viscosity was determined to be 1.07 mm2/s at 40.0 ± 0.5 °C.

Description of key information

The kinematic viscosity of the substance has been determined reliably in a study using a viscometer under GLP and in accordance with OECD TG 114.
