Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Type:
relative density
Density:
1.31
Temp.:
20 °C

Two tests with different amounts of the test item were performed to determine the relative density D420at a temperature of 20 °C ± 0.01 °C.

Table: Results of the measurement of the density of the test item

* The pressurizing-expansion cycles are performed until 4 subsequent volume measurements have a relative standard deviation (RSD) of ≤ 0.2 %.

The mean density of the test item at 20 °C was 1.3101 g/cm³. The relative density D420 was calculated by dividing the density of the test item by the density of water at 4 °C (0.9999750 g/cm³).

Conclusions:
relative density (at 20 °C ±0.01 °C): 1.31
Executive summary:

According to OECD Guideline 109 and EU Method A.3., the relative density D420 of the test item 2-Hydroxy-1-[4-(4-(2-hydroxy-2-methylpropionyl)phenoxy)phenyl]-2-methylpropan-1-one at 20 °C ±0.01 °C (compared to water at 4 °C) is D420=1.31.

Description of key information

The relative density of the test substance was determined by pyconometry according to OECD Guideline 109 and EU Method A.3 (Schiewer, 2019).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.31
