Additional information

5.2.1 Biodegradation in Water: Screening Tests

In accordance with Section 9.2.1.1, Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, it is considered appropriate to omit the Ready biodegradability study as the substance is inorganic.

5.2.2 Biodegradation in Water and Sediment: Simulation Tests

In accordance with Section 2 of REACH Annex XI, the simulation testing on ultimate biotic degradation in surface water (required in section 9.2.1.2) is not required as the substance is inorganic and hence biotic degradation cannot occur. Thus measurement of this endpoint is not technically feasible.

In accordance with section 2 of REACH Annex XI, the simulation testing on ultimate biotic degradation in surface water (required in section 9.2.1.4) is not required as the substance is inorganic and hence biotic degradation cannot occur. Thus measurement of this endpoint is not technically feasible.

In accordance with REACH Annex XI section 2, the identification of degradation products (required under section 9.2.3) does not need to be conducted as the substance is inorganic and hence neither biotic nor abiotic degradation will occur. There will therefore be no degradation products.

5.2.3 Biodegradation in Soil

In accordance with section 2 of REACH Annex XI, the simulation testing on ultimate biotic degradation in surface water (required in section 9.2.1.3) is not required as the substance is inorganic and hence biotic degradation cannot occur. Thus measurement of this endpoint is not technically feasible.
