Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Rest, fresh air.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Keeping the eyelids open, rinse thoroughly under running

water for at least 15 minutes.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water and soap.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth out and drink plenty of water.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Dry extinguishing agent, foam, carbon dioxide.

Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, acetic acid.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Self-contained respirator.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Aerosol should be sucked securely. Remove potential

ignitionsources. Observe explosion proof. Dike leaked liquid with suitable material (e.g. soil). Take up with a

liquid-binding material (e.g. kieselguhr). Pump large

amounts in suitable containers. Disposal in according to regulations labelled containers. Observe local regulations.

Avoid inhalation and contact with skin and eyes when taking

up. Wear suitable protective equipment (see "Handling"). Do not allow leaked substance to enter drains or water systems.

Handling and storage

Handling:

Working procedures must be designed so that exposure by

dermal contact and, possibly, by inhalation is minimized.

Avoid contact with eyes. Closed or at least splashproof equipment should be used during filling, metered feeding,

and sampling. During handling of the substance in open

systems arising aerosol should be sucked at the formation place. Respirators (e.g....) should be worn in cases where

technical extraction or ventilation measures are either not possible or not adequate. Tested protective gloves

according to standard (:::) and, if necessary, suitable

protective clothing according to standard (:::) should be worn to avoid contact with the skin. The wearing of a

suitable eye protector is recommended (eg.tightly fitting

goggles). Adequate washing facilities and conspicuously marked eye-douche stations should be provided in the

immediate vicinity of the workung area. After contact with the skin, the affected parts of the body should be

thoroughly cleaned using (:::). Special skin-protection and

skin-care measures are recommended. Draw up a skin-protection plan. Outdoor clothes should be kept

separate from working clothes. Take measures against static

discharges. In the case of possible formation of aerosol

remove potential ignitionsources from the working area.

Containers should be stored tightly sealed in a dry place.

Storage:

Store substance in tighly closed, unbreakable and well labeled containers under cool and dry conditions.

Secure container against falling. Avoid residues on the

container.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Isocontainer Stainless Steel (1.4571) (Volume 22 t)

Exposure controls / personal protection

Respiratory protection: Wear respiratory protection of ventilation is inadequate

Hand protection: chemical resitant protective gloves (EN 374)

eye protection: safety glasses with side-shields

general: handle in accordance with good industrial hyiene and safety practice, wearing of closed work clothing is required additionally to the stated protection equipment

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Thermic decomposition at 120 °C.

Chemical reaction with water: No reaction known.

Dust explosion: Not appropriate (liquid).

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: No possibilities, if the substance is polluted.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No possibilities.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not appropriate.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Because of possibility of the formation of harmful

emissions, the combustion has to be made in a suitable plant.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Removal in a sewage plant by suitable sorption agent.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not appropriate.
