Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Two studies investigating the relative density of the test material are available. Both studies were conducted under GLP conditions and in accordance with the standardised guideline EPA OPPTS 830.7300 using a pycnometer. Both studies were assigned a reliability score of 1 in line with the criteria of Klimisch et al. (1997).

Under the conditions of the first study, reported by Russell (2001) the density of the test material relative to water at 20 °C was determined to be 1.76, average from two determinations.

Under the conditions of the second study, reported by Russell (2003) the density of the test material relative to water at 20 °C was determined to be 1.72, average of two determinations.

Since the purity of test material in the 2001 study was 99.5 %, as opposed to 94.5 % in the 2003 study, the former is regarded as key, though both results are in good agreement.
