Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Key study: Test method according to EU method C.7, GLP study. The test substance rapidly hydrolyses and half-life < 4 minutes at pH 4 and 7 (23ºC) and pH 9 (27ºC).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
4 min
at the temperature of:
23 °C

Additional information

Key study: A study was performed to assess the hydrolytic behaviour of OS-2200 with respect to pH. Due to the highly reactive nature of the test substance, a modified test was performed based on EU method C.7, Abiotic degradation: Hydrolysis as a function of pH. Hydrolysis was evaluated after inverting the test substance in the buffer at pH 4, 7 and 9. Analysis was performed by gas chromatography. Under test conditions the test substance rapidly hydrolysed and exhibited half-lives significantly less than one day (<ca 4 minutes) at pH 4 and 7 ( 23ºC) and at pH 9 (27º C).
