With high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic organisms.

The inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced in appropriate low concentrations.

Regarding the acute toxicity to aquatic organisms, several GLP-guideline studies conducted with organisms from three trophic levels (fish, Daphnia and algae) are available which show that no inhibitory or toxic effects (L(E)C50 > 100 mg/L) emanate from the test substance in the range of its water-solubility.
