Additional information

The data on toxicokinetics of tributyl phosphate suggest that it can be absorbed on ingestion and via the skin. After it is absorbed, 1,3- tributyl phosphate is distributed throughout the body tissues and can be detected in the gastrointestinal tract, blood, and liver.

It does not retain in the body and is excreted mainly with urine in a form of metabolites. Metabolism of tributyl phosphate is reported to be through hydroxylation followed by Phase II conjugation (glucuronide or sulfate).
