A cut off value for log Kow (logKoc) of 3 is applied for adsorption potential of non-ionising substances (section R7a of the ECHA Guidance on information requirements).
Tributyl phosphate has an estimated log Kow of 3.24 -3.37 (calculated calculated using KOCWIN v. 2.0. based on the first-order molecular connectivity index (MCI) and the logKow = 4) which is slightly above this cut-off value.
These values indicate some potential for adsorption onto soil and sediment and suggest that tributyl phosphate is not likely to be mobile in sole and leach to the ground water.
