Description of key information

In a GLP-compliant study following EC method C.7, a close chemical analogue of the registered substance (known to be react similarly to the registered substance, releasing formaldehyde on hydrolysis) was shown to hydrolyse rapidly: under the environmentally relevant conditions of pH 7 and 20.4C, a half life of 12 hours was determined.

Additional information

In view of the close similarity of chemical structure and properties, it is concluded that the registered substance itself will show similar hydrolytic instability to that determined for the analogue.
