Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Preferably carbon dioxide, foam, dry powder.
Water mist may be used. Water is not recommended.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (See paragraph 2.3.00).
Contain and absorb spill using sand or another inert
material. Transfer to labelled containers and dispose in
accordance with national/local regulations. Wash spill site
with water. Avoid discharge in watercourses.
Handling and storage
Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic
chemicals. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation and
contact with skin and eyes.
Protective clothing, eye/face protection and gloves
(preferably in natural rubber) should be worn.
Storage: Store in sealed containers away form heat sources and
protected from extremes of temperatures.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The import containers will be drums containing perfume
preparations which in turn will contain the notified
substance.
These containers are usually tightly closed lacquered drums
(standard size: 180 kg, other sizes: 100 kg, 50 kg, 25 kg,
10 kg, 5 kg).

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Avoid contact with oxidising agents. Avoid from extremes of
temperatures.
Chemical reaction with water: None reported.
Dust explosion: For the substance, there is no concern in relation to the
potential dust explosion hazard from this organic powder, as
appropriate handling and storage measures will be taken.
The preparations containing the substance are liquid and
hence there is no risk of dust explosion.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling will be not possible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No known hazardous properties.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a controlled landfill will be possible.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration at a suitable facility is the recommended way
of destruction. Stack gases should be scrubbed.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should not normally be discharged directly to
the sewage system or the aqueous environment. However,
adverse effects on sewage treatment systems should be
unlikely.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The notified substance will only enter the public domain
incorporated into consumer products. Reuse, recycling,
recovery from preparations are not feasible.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: No chemical treatment is available to neutralise the known
health and environmental effects of the substance.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: The notified substance will only enter the public domain as
part of cosmetics and household products, which can be
disposed of as for normal domestic waste.
