Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air; if necessary seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse thoroughly with water; if necessary seek medical
advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out mouth and throat with water; if necessary seek
medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, CO2 or dry chemical.
Product arising from burning: NOx, SO2, CO2, CO, H2O.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: After spillage sweep up mechanically, if possible use an
appropriate vacuum cleaner. Moisten the substance before
collecting or cover it with wet inert material. Obey the
precaution measures descibed in 2.3.1.
Collect waste in well-labelled waste containers.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid dust formation. When greater amounts are handled wear
dust mask.
Avoid skin and eye contact; wear gloves and goggles. Provide
for local exhaustion and take precautions against electro
static charging.
Storage: Store in closed containers, cool and dry. Remove product
residues outside of the containers.
Safeguard containers against falling.

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: The dust of the subtsance can explode (St 1).
Chemical reaction with water: no reaction.
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: none
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: none
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Obeying the local and administrative regulations in an
incineration plant for hazardous waste.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Biological waste water purification (if possible with
adsorptions or flake plant)
