Additional information

Data on the acute toxicity to aquatic invertebrates are available (IUCLID data set, ECB 2000). The test was conducted according to GLP and a national guideline of the German Federal Environment Agency. The EC0 after 24 h using Daphnia magna was determined to be 250 mg/L and the EC100 was determined to be 500 mg/L.

Additionally, the toxicity to microorganisms was tested using activated sludge (IUCLID data set, ECB 2000). The test was conducted according to ISO 8192 "Test for inhibition of oxygen consumption by activated sludge) and GLP. After 3 h exposure the EC50 was determined to be 1116 mg/L.

Therefore, the test substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic organisms and the inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced in appropriate low concentrations.
