La primera operación es la de realizar un tamizado para diferenciar las diferentes fracciones de las partículas del carbón vegetal. Los resultados obtenidos son:

La determinación se realizó por triplicado, utilizando agua con 0,1% de dodecilsulfato sódico como medio de suspensión.
En todos los experimentos, la sedimentación se produjo ya antes del primer período de muestreo: en los tres estudios principales, el 7,0% (estudio principal 1), el 8,4% (estudio principal 2), y el 7,1% (estudio principal 3) de las partículas no se recuperaron la hora de determinar el valor del 100%.
Estas partículas deben ser considerados como mayor que el diámetro superior de Stokes de 117.54 m.
Para la parte visible del carbón de leña elemento de prueba (partículas de menos de 111.92 m, y de 0.67 - 0.68% de la partida total de la prueba), la distribución de tamaño de partículas se encontró lo siguiente (para la comparación de los valores se correlacionaban por el importe total de la fracción tamizada (<100 micras) también se dan):

Por tanto se deduce que el carbón vegetal producto de ensayo muestra una distribución de tamaño de partícula de 0,53% inferior o igual a 117 micras y menos de 0,05% (> 0,03%.) inferior o igual a 10 micras.

- Conclusions:
- The test item charcoal shows a particle size distribution of 0.53% ≤ 117 µm and less than 0.05% (> 0.03.%) ≤ 10 µm.
