- Details on preparation and application of test substrate:
- - Method of mixing into soil (if used): The test substance was directly added into the soil. A total amount of 10 g mixture of the test substance and dry soil was prepared firstly and then mixed with 490 g dry weight of soil for each test container. Then the moisture content was adjusted at about 35% dry soil weight by adding appropriate volume deionized water.

Jiangxi red soil: 10 of 10 earthworms were observed dead at a concentration of 100 mg/kg after 14 days. - Nominal and measured concentrations:
- Nominal: Jinlin black soil: 400, 500, 600, 800 and 1000 mg/kg (dry weight of soil); Jiangxi red soil: 30, 50, 80, 100 and 200 mg/kg (dry weight of soil)

- Details on results:
- - Mortality at end of exposure period: During the test, all earthworms remained in the soil and no obvious physical or pathological symptoms or distinct changes were observed in behaviours of organisms of the control. In Jilin black soil, on the 14th day one to two earthworms died in the treatment with 800 mg/kg soil and six to eight earthworms died in the treatment with 1000 mg/kg soil.·
In Jiangxi red soil, on the 14th day one to two earthworms died in the treatment with 30 mg/kg soil. Greater mortality was observed in the treatment with higher testing concentration and for the concentration of 100 and 200 mg/kg soil all earthworms died. The results showed that the 14 d LC50
of the test substance was 928 mg/kg soil in Jilin Black soil (with a 95% confidence limit of 861-1001 mg/kg soil) and 53.5 mg/kg soil (with a 95% confidence limit of 42.2-67.7 mg/kg soil) in Jiangxi Red soil.
- Behavioural abnormalities: No unusual circumstances that might have affected the integrity and quality of the study were observed. - Results with reference substance (positive control):
- No reference substance was used
