No experimental data is available on the target substance. The computational tool ECOSAR v2.0 has been used to predict toxicity to fish, daphnid and green algae. The effects are reported for short-term exposure. Based on the chemical structure, the target substance is attributed to the anilines (hindered) class and to the amides class.

According to the predicted ecotoxicological values, the target substance is not expected to have adverse effects up to the saturation levels (predicted water solubility = 342.6 mg/L). Same behaviour is predicted for one of the similar substances, where for short-term toxicity the EC50 values are always predicted above 100 mg/L. The prediction for one of the similar substances gives instead EC50 values below 100 mg/L. Among the three trophic levels studied, fish resulted as the most sensitive species. In particular, the LC50 value for fish calculated for a similar substance was 80 mg/L, while it was found to be 2.4 mg/L for another similar substance.


Even though for the ECOSAR tool the target substance is not expected to have toxic effects or is expected to have less effects than the two similar substances, nevertheless toxicity cannot be excluded based on the information available on the two similar substances. Therefore, adopting a conservative approach, the target substance is classified for aquatic toxicity Chronic 3 (H412 - Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects) according to the the CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
