Additional information

In a DOC die away test performed according to EU Method C.4-A (equivalently to OECD guideline 301A; BASF AG, 1997; Rep. no. 96/0600/21/1) the degradation potential of tetrakis(2-hydroxyethyl)ammonium hydroxide (CAS 631-41-4) was investigated using non-adapted activated sludge as inoculum.

After 28 days, the degree of biodegradation was between 30% to 40% (based on DOC removal), indicating the substance to be not readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria).
