Storage condition: Controlled room temperature (15-25 °C, below 70 RH%)
Analytical method:
high-performance liquid chromatography
Key result
Type:
Pow
Partition coefficient:
< 1
Temp.:
25 °C
Remarks on result:
other: no pH value
Remarks:
no pH value
Details on results:
This value is copper phthalocyanine sulfonic acid, which is detected by dissociation of dodecylamine from amine salt of copper phthalocyanine sulfonic acid. Copper phthalocyanine is not determined.
The test item eluting before the t0 (Thiourea), therefore an accurate value of log Pow could not be given.
Conclusions:
An accurate measure of the partition coefficient could not be made as the tested material eluted before the deadtime standard. The log10 Pow is estimated to be <1.0.

Description of key information

The calculated log Pow: <1.0

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
1
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

A determination of the partition coefficient of B331 was conducted as part of a larger package of physico-chemical testing (CiToxLAB Hungary, 2017, Study 15/361-386AN). The partition coefficient determination was conducted using the HPLC method in accordance with EC test method A8 and OECD test guideline 117. The study was conducted in compliance with GLP.

During HPLC analysis the test material eluted as two peaks; the retention time of each of the peaks was less than the deadtime standard and was less than each of the reference standards. An accurate measurement of the partition coefficient could not be made but it was determined that log10 Pow must be less than 1.0.
