Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

other: UV lamp and sunlight
Details on test conditions:
72h exposure to UV lamp or 24h exposure to sunlight

Results and discussion

Preliminary study:
UV lamp exposure:
0h - Mw 736. Tetramer/higher oligomer content 26%
72h - Mw 798. Tetramer/higher oligomer content 43%.

Sunlight exposure:
0h - Mn 373, Mw 15. Tetramer/higher oligomer content 30%
24h - Mn 392, Mw 783. Tetramer/higher oligomer content 43%.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Results give an indication of increased polymerisation leading to increased content of higher-order oligomers, but limited effect on Mn and Mw/Mn ratio make interpretation unclear.
