Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

 Discussion

Thermogram temperature programme based upon preliminary data for boiling temperature carried out between 20 and 450 °C at 20 °C/min.

The test item initially is a white solid block which for testing larger volumes was required to heat between 50 and 80 °C to allow sampling, the test item was a soft paste at approximately 50 °C, softening further after this temperature. The melting range of the test item corresponds with this visual assessment.

Conclusions:
The melting range of the test item has been determined to be 28.6 °C (301.7 K) to 53.4 °C (326.5 K).
Executive summary:

The general physico-chemical properties of 4,4'-Isopropylidenediphenol, oligomeric reaction products with 1-chloro-2,3-epoxypropane, reaction products with ethylenediamine have been determined.

Melting/Freezing Range. 28.6 °C (301.7 K) to 53.4 °C (326.5 K), by differential scanning calorimetry, designed to be compatible with Method A.1 Melting/Freezing Temperature of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 102 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.
