Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

key study
Study period:
2015
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: The test has been performed following official guidelines and completely assessed the end point.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 107 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol / water), Shake Flask Method)
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
shake-flask method to: flask method
Partition coefficient type:
octanol-water
Analytical method:
other: UV
Type:
log Pow
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
ca. 7
Remarks on result:
not determinable because of methodological limitations
Conclusions:
not determined due to low solubilty
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of the tested substance was not determined due to methodological problems about water and octanol solubility.

Endpoint:
partition coefficient
Type of information:
calculation (if not (Q)SAR)
Adequacy of study:
supporting study
Study period:
2017
Reliability:

Principles of method if other than guideline:
Epiweb Estimation
Type of method:
calculation method (fragments)
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
9.04
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
< 7
Remarks on result:
other: Log Kow (KOWWIN v1.67 estimate)
Conclusions:
Estimated log Kow = 9.04

Description of key information

Estimated Log kow = 9.04 at 20°C at pH < 7

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
9.04
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The determination of partition coefficient n-octanol-water was performed according to OECD 107, Shake Flask Method (REACH&Colours Kft) but due to methodological deficiences log Kow was not determined. Estimation with Epiweb indicates a log Kow of 9.04.

The same behaviour was observed on similar substance of the same dye family for which a partition coefficient log Kow > 2.01 was estimated.
