First-aid measures
In case of inhalation:
Move affected person into fresh air, keep warm and allow to rest.
In case of irregular breathing / no breathing: artificial respiration.
If unconscious place in recovery position and seek medical advice.
In case of skin (or hair) contact:
Remove contaminated, saturated clothing immediately. Wash immediately with water and soap, rinse off. Consult a physican if problems persist.
In case of eye contact:
Protect uninjured eye. Remove contact lenses.
Flush immediately with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes holding eyelids apart and consult an ophthalmologist if problems persist.
In case of ingestion:
Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water.
Prevent vomiting if possible
Keep the vomiting person in the recovery position.
If there is a risk of loss of consciousness, place and transport affected person in the recovery position.
Fire-fighting measures
Alcohol resistant foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry extinguishing powder, Water spray jet
Unsuitable extinguishing media:
Full water jet.
Special hazards arising from the substance: In case of fire may be liberated: toxic gases
Advice for fire-fighters:
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing.
Do not inhale vapours and fumes.
Keep containers cool by spaying with water if exposed to fire.
Accidental release measures
for non-emergency personnel:
Provide adequate ventilation.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not inhale vapours.
Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
Remove all sources of ignition, avoid heat and sparks.
for emergency responders:
In case of large amounts wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing. No further precautions.
Environmental precautions: No special environmental precautions required.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
For large amount: dike spillage. Pump off product.
For residues: Pick up with suitable absorbent material (eg. cloth, fleece).
If significant spillages can not be diked, the local authorities should be informed.
Gases / vapours / mist knock down with water spray.
Collect it for disposal according to local regulations in the containers provided. Fill and discard into labelled sealable containers. Ventilate and clean affected area after complete removal of the material thoroughly.
Handling and storage
The usual precautions in handling chemicals have to be observed.
Only use the material in places where open light, fire and other sources of ignition have been excluded.
Preparation may charge electrostatically: always use earthing leads when transferring.
Equip the workplace with eye washing bottle and person showers.
Do not inhale vapours.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
Observe legal health and safety regulations.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Keep only in the original container.
Store in a closed container in a cool, dry, well ventilated place.
To maintain product quality, do not store in heat or direct sunlight.
Advice on joint storage:
No special restrictions for joint storage with other products.
