Description of key information

All studies on acute toxicity were conducted in GLP studies following international guidelines.

Short-term toxicity to fish: The acute toxicity to fish was determined following the EU Method C.1. After 96 hours of exposure a LC50 of higher than 4.21 mg/L was determined under semi-static conditions. All results are expressed in terms of geometric mean measured concentrations.

Short-term toxicity to invertebrates: The acute toxicity to daphnia magna was investigated in a static study following OECD 202. After 48 hours of exposure an EC50 of 1.045 mg/L was determined. The results are expressed in terms of measured initial concentrations.

Toxicity to aquatic algae: The study was conducted in accordance EU Method C.3. After 72 hours of exposure NOECr, ErC10 and ErC50 were determined as 0.041 mg/L, 0.11 mg/L and higher than 2.6 mg/L, respectively.

Toxicity to bacteria: After 3 hours of exposure the substance showed 2.6 % respiration inhibition of activated sludge at the highest test item concentration of 100 mg/L. The EC50 is higher than 100 mg/L and the NOEC is equal or higher than 100 mg/L. The effect value relates to a nominal concentration, since no analytical monitoring was performed. The test was conducted according to the OECD guideline 209.
