Reference
Name:
ET 344 SP - 412-540-8
Type of composition:
boundary composition of the substance
State / form:
liquid
Reference substance:
ET 344 SP - 412-540-8
Reference substance:
ET 344 SP - 412-540-8
PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

No conclusion on P / vP properties can be reached based on available information. Substance is not readily biodegradable and was found to undergo less than 10% hydrolysis after 5 days at 50°C in pH 4, 7 and 9 buffer solutions. No further information on degradability is available.

The substance is not bioaccumulative. The bioconcentration factors (BCF) for ET-344 SP after 56 days were calculated to be 134 at a test concentration of 0.0085 mg/l and 159 at a test concentration of 0.085 mg/l. Therefore, the test material, ET-344SP, cannot be considered to significantly accumulate in the tissues of common carp.

The substance is not toxic. In the Daphnia reproduction test, the NOEC was 1 mg/L. In the algal growth inhibition test, the lowest NOEC value (measured value) was 0.271 mg/L; both these values are > 0.01 mg/L. The substance is not classified as STOT RE 1/RE 2 and it is not classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction.

In conclusion, the substance is not PBT / vPvB.
