Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately.
AFTER INHALATION
Supply fresh air, consult doctor in case of complaints.
AFTER SKIN CONTACT
Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.
AFTER EYE CONTACT
Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Then consult a doctor.
AFTER SWALLOWING
Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. Seek medical treatment.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
SPECIAL HAZARDS ARISING FROM THE SUBSTANCE OR MIXTURE
The product is not combustible. In case of fire, sulphur dioxide (SO2) can be released.
ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS
Do not allow firefighting water to enter drains or water courses. Collect contaminated firefighting water separately.
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Wear fully protective suit.
Accidental release measures
The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals. Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Avoid formation of dust.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
Do not allow to enter sewers/surface or ground water. Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil.
METHODS AND MATERIALS FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP
Pick up mechanically. Send for recovery or disposal in suitable receptacles.
Handling and storage
Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Ensure good ventilation/exhaustive at the work place.
CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE, INCLUDING ANY INCOMPATIBILITIES
- Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: corrosive action on metals
- Information about storage in one common storage facility: not required
- Further information about storage conditions: Store in dry conditions. Keep container slightly sealed.

Exposure controls / personal protection
- Respiratory protection: Use of respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol. Filter P3.
- Protection of hands: Protective gloves
- Material of gloves: The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies
- Penetration time of glove material: The exact break through tie has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves
- For the permanent contact of a maximum of 15 minutes gloves made of Butyl rubber (BR) or Fluorocarbon rubber (Viton) are suitable.
- Eye protection: Tightly sealed goggles.
- Body protection: Protective work clothing.
Stability and reactivity
- Possibility of hazardous reactions: No dangerous reactions known
- Conditions to avoid: No further relevant information available
- Incompatible materials: Corrosive action on metals
- Hazardous decomposition products: No hazardous decomposition products known
Disposal considerations
Contact manufacturer for recycling information. If residues of products are classified as waste use the legal requirements to assign the appropriate Waste Code. Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
UNCLEANED PACKAGING
Disposal must be made according to official regulations
